The Process and Next Steps

Daniels Capital uses a simple, streamlined process to get you compensated for your legal services.

When you resolved an indigent defense case that has been assigned to you, you’ll submit a claim for payment to the appropriate court. Unfortunately, it’s not always quick and easy to receive payment. Wait times vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, but waiting for any significant period at all can be detrimental to a practice.

Enter Daniels Capital.

The first step in the process is to access our User Agreement and fill it out. The form is straightforward and shouldn’t take much time to complete.

Once you’re finished with the form, you can email it to clientservices@danielscapital.com or fax it to 205-285-8806. Please include a copy of your driver’s license.

Once we’ve accepted you as a client, based on the information you’ve supplied, you can complete the Assignment Schedule, sign it, and notarize it. Send over the final Assignment Schedule along with a copy of the fee vouchers you would like funded.

If we receive all of your information by 3:00 pm CST, you will more than likely receive a wire transfer or get a check placed in the mail that same day.

Once we receive payment from the court, we stop our fees and process the check. The remainder of the check amount (after our fees) is then sent to you.

Here’s how to get started:

Step 1 – Fill out the Agreement above and send it to us, along with a copy of your driver’s license.

Step 2 – Once we have approved you as a client, send over your completed, signed, and notarized Assignment Schedules with a copy of each fee voucher you would like us to fund.

Step 3 – If we receive your information by 3:00 CST, you will likely be able to get a wire transfer or a check in the mail on the same day.

We stop taking a fee on the day we receive your check. Then, we process the check, and after taking out your fees, we send the remainder to you in a reserve check.
